3. Geotechincal analysis of the soils is not
needed. A granular, select backfill material
will be used for the all the pipe. It is
anticipated that this material will have to
come from separating of the trench materials
during the trench excavation.
4. Structural design requirements will be
needed for a trash cleaning device, water
measurement, and divider of decreed flows
for the pipeline. Divider box, measuring
staffs, check and turnout boxes and trash
racks will be used.
5. Environmentally speaking, this project is
very benign. Some upland type vegetation
will be destroyed when the supply ditch is
replaced with a pipeline but the extent of
the existing vegetation is very low.
6. Construction drawings will consist of a Plan
and Profile view of the pipeline and another
section for appurtenance details. Elevations
and grades critical to function of the
pipeline will be shown.
7. Construction specifications include in the
Colorado Standards and Specifications
Technical Guides will be used.
8. Construction inspection will be conducted
during installation of all pipes in order to
check backfill and grade requirements.
Follow-up inspection of the pipe
installation will be done on an as needed
basis.

8
