The SEO's has reviewed the project design and has commented that the project could not <br />be constructed as submitted. The SEO's is requesting are-submittal of the design plans before any further <br />action can take place. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />11. Bijou Irrigation District - Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $666,000@2.5% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Morgan/Weld <br />Project Yield: 19,900 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Bijou Irrigation District owns and operates Empire Reservoir located west of Fort Morgan. It is an off- <br />stream reservoir primarily impounded by four separate dams constructed around 1905. The water storage <br />rights are 37,709 acre-feet and there is on refill right. The storage volume at gauge height 30 is 36,142 acre- <br />feet. Currently the reservoir is restricted to gage height 29 by the State Engineer's Office due to seepage <br />concerns and spillway inadequacies. This project will involve the construction of a new 4O-foot wide <br />spillway and outfall channel with a crest elevation of 30 feet. The I foot increase in storage height will result <br />in 2,682 acre-feet of recovered storage. The project is currently under design and is anticipated to commence <br />construction in fall of 2006. <br /> <br />12. Overland Ditch and Reservoir Company - Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: Cow Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $1, 130,000@ 2.5% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Delta <br />Project Yield: 17,000 AF <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Overland Ditch and Reservoir Company's 120 members own and operate the Overland Reservoir, <br />located in Delta County in the Gunnison National Forest at elevation 10,000-ft. This project involves <br />increasing the current reservoir capacity from 6,200 AF to 7,171 AF, raising the spillway elevation 3.8 <br />feet, installing toe drains, increasing the dam crest width, and additional embankment protection. The <br />Overland Ditch Company shareholders at their August 2006 Board Meeting, approved increasing the <br />capacity ofthe reservoir. The project is currently under design and is scheduled to commence <br />construction in the fall of 2007 <br /> <br />13. Orchard Mesa Irrigation District - Stokes Gulch Siphon Replacement <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: Colorado River <br />Terms of Loart: $545,400@ 2.5% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Mesa <br />Project Yield: 58,323 AF <br />Project Type: Pipe Replacement <br /> <br />The Orchard Mesa Irrigation District was organized in 1904 and became a part of the Federal Grand <br />Valley Project in 1922 and operates under the 1921 Irrigation Act. The District is located in Mesa County <br />near the town of Palisade along the Colorado River. The Stokes Gulch Siphon was constructed in the <br />1920's and is in need of repair. The Siphon and Power Canal are owned and operated by the District for <br />the conveyance of water for power generation and irrigation. The Siphon is located two miles east of <br />Palisade along US 6. This project involves replacing the existing Stokes Siphon with 300 feet of 12-ft. x <br />12-ft. pre-cast concrete box culvert and 100 feet of channel reconstruction. The project is scheduled for <br />construction during the winter of 2006/07. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />62 <br />
