The City's best j dgment of the role of water use efficiency is to lower <br />interior water usage to lessen the impact on the wastewater treatment plant. By promoting <br />efficient water use, the benefit to the C ty may be to reduce the wastewater flow to the <br />wastewater treatment plant, thus, delaying t e need for plant expansion. <br /> <br />The City of Trinidad therefore endorses the ttached water conservation plan in compliance with <br />HB-1154. This water conservation plan inc udes six sections describing: <br /> <br />I. The City of Trinidad's water supply, tre tment, storage, and distribution; <br /> <br />2. Historical data on water consumption, ater use customers, and existing rate structure; <br /> <br />3. Existing water conservation measures in luding the City's current code of ordinances, current <br />methods of distribution system and repa r, and the City's comparison with other <br />municipalities; <br /> <br />4. The City's best judgment of the role of ater use efficiency and potential conservation <br />measures to achieve the City's water us efficiency goals; <br /> <br />5. The process for public comment of this ater Conservation Plan, as well as annual <br />monitoring and evaluation of the plan's ffectiveness; and <br /> <br />6. A schedule for program implementation. <br />
