<br />, . <br /> <br />actually increases participation. <br /> <br />The project is being coordinated with the school staff including the principle, the school building <br />engineer, the maintenance supervisor, and staff The Districts will involve teachers, students, <br />parents, District staff, and landscape professionals in the planting process. The District's project <br />coordinator will follow-up after the planting phase to help provide the school maintenance staff with <br />information on maintenance, and teaching staff with follow-up information on water conservation. <br />The school will be left with an area that can be utilized by the teaching staff as a tool for many areas <br />of their curriculum. The maintenance staff will be left with a low maintenance, water saving <br />landscape. Water savings results will be shared with the school as a follow-up activity to the project <br /> <br />The District will invite members of the community to participate in the Xeriscape Clinic classes. The <br />District will use the water consumption results at the school as a part of the Xeriscape Clinic classes. <br />The Ute Meadows Xeriscape project will be used as a demonstration garden to show Xeriscape Clinic <br />participants how Xeriscape actually looks. The District hopes to expand its Xeriscape Clinic program <br />by encouraging new homeowners to install Xeriscape in a high visible, high traffic area. If the project <br />is successful, the District may expand this demonstration idea to include other sites in subsequent <br />projects. <br />
