The irrigation, <br /> <br /> <br />plan was put into the street improvement study because the wate,r <br /> <br /> <br />plant, (on certain days), had to work at full capacity to producE: <br /> <br />sufficient water for the Town. The study indicated that the <br /> <br /> <br />water plant would reach its maximum by 1992. Due to the influx <br /> <br />of workers living in Nucla and working in Telluride. Nucla is <br /> <br /> <br />experiencing a steady growth. The Town feels that the plant has <br /> <br />reached its maximum output. Therefore, the governing body of thE! <br /> <br />Town needs to institute a plan that is economically feasible, <br /> <br />while improving their current infrastructure by installing a <br /> <br />water efficient irrigation system. <br /> <br />The Nucla Planning Board Will establish a subcommittee to devote <br /> <br /> <br />attention to preparing a study for distributing and educating thel <br /> <br />local community. The subcommittee will act as a sounding board <br /> <br />for local citizens. Local citizens, at these meetings, can <br /> <br />express how they feel about Phase III and provide input on how <br /> <br />they believe the system is working. In addition, the input of <br />
