Be <br /> <br />sure to provide a description of; the need for your project, how <br /> <br />you would implement your project, and the Participants in your <br /> <br />project. <br /> <br />The Town of Nucla proposes to complete a demonstration project <br /> <br />under the Water Conservation and Water use Efficiency Program <br /> <br />which will be known as phase III of the Third Street Reservoir <br /> <br />project -- it is the third phase of a five phase development <br /> <br />plan. Phase III falls under the category of Government and <br /> <br />public facilities. The rehabilitation of the reservoir located <br /> <br />on the north edge of the west side of town where the water <br /> <br />surface of the pond is approximately at an elevation of 5926. <br /> <br />Upon the completion of Phase II, the Town has created an <br /> <br />extraordinary wetlands for birds, ducks and other forms of <br /> <br />wildlife while providing a multiuse outdoor recreational <br /> <br />environment for the community. This rehabilitation has provided <br /> <br />raw water storage for irrigation use within the town, thus <br /> <br />eliminating the need to use treated water for irrigation, and <br /> <br />provide the Town with a water efficient irrigation system. <br /> <br />Phase II consists of the construction of gravity flow irrigation <br /> <br />system from the headgate to several public use sites and 53 <br /> <br />customers within the town. A gravity flow system will be <br /> <br />implemented on the western side which would automatically allow <br /> <br />for 43-63 psi because of the water surface elevation of the <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />------ <br />
