<br />. ~. '" <br /> <br />consisted of a variety of measures such as rebate programs, Xeriscape at new Commercial <br />development, educational programs, and Utility maintenance programs. We screened this universal <br />list of conservation measures and programs based on three criteria: <br /> <br />1. Anticipated benefit-cost of implementation <br />2. Public acceptance <br />3. Staff and Council approval <br /> <br />CWS and Town staff reviewed all of the conservation measures and programs to determine which <br />ones would be evaluated further in the planning process. Some of the measures/programs were <br />thrown out immediately because there was a major obstacle with at least one of the screening <br />criteria. <br /> <br />The next steps in the planning process will place the conservation measures and programs that are to <br />be evaluated further into groups, so the water savings are not double counted. We will analyze each <br />measure and program to a cost per gallon saved, so each can be compared equally. The <br />measures/programs will be evaluated with the Town and a final list for implementation will be <br />developed. <br />
