Water management programs such as SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to remotely monitor <br />and operate key river and canal facilities. <br /> <br />8.1.3 Task C - Canal Lining <br /> <br />Line currently unlined canals where there will be water savings and corresponding increases in available water <br />supplies from the installation of creative canal lining technologies. Examples include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />· New proven materials or technology. <br /> <br />· Converting open canals to pipeline. <br /> <br />B.1.4 Task D - Measuring Devices <br /> <br />Construction of new measuring devices that will allow water supplies to be more accurately measured and <br />accounted and will likely result in more efficient water use. Examples include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />· Installation of advanced water measurement equipment. <br /> <br />C. PROGRAM AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This Agreement is issued in accordance with the authority under Section 212 of the Fiscal Year <br />2004 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act (Public Law 108-137). <br /> <br />II. AWARD INFORMATION <br /> <br />A. TOTAL PROJECT FUNDING <br /> <br />It is anticipated that between 15 and 100 agreements will be awarded, depending on the total amount of funding <br />requested for successful proposals. The total amount of funding for all cooperative agreements awarded as a result <br />of this request for proposals will not exceed $4,000,000. <br /> <br />B. PROJECT FUNDING LIMITATIONS <br /> <br />To facilitate the broad and effective use of limited Federal funds, the Reclamation share of anyone <br />proposed project shall be up to 50% and shall generally not exceed $300,000. However, <br />Reclamation retains the right to exceed that amount on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />C. RECLAMATION RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />Substantial involvement between Reclamation and the Recipient is anticipated during the performance of this <br />project. In support of this agreement, Reclamation will provide the following: <br /> <br />C.2.1 Reclamation shall collaborate and participate with the Recipient in the management of the project and closely <br />oversee the Recipient's activities to ensure that the program objectives are being achieved. <br /> <br />C.2.2 This oversight shall include review, input, and approval at key interim stages of the project as identified in the <br />Recipient's proposal. <br /> <br />D. AWARD DATE <br /> <br />It is anticipated that awards will be made during July, 2004, with an anticipated project start date on or around <br />August 1, 2004. <br />
