In performing our mission,
we fully embrace the importance of water conservation, water use efficiency and wise water
use.

Our organization applauds the CWCB for developing and administrating its water conservation
and water efficiency grant programs, and we will continue to show our support for these
important state programs. We recognize the importance of communications and technical
assistance in supporting more meaningful water conservation statewide, which is the
underlying goal of the CWCB grant programs.

In my conversations with water suppliers, the important work before us is to prepare for a
demand drought, the need to provide water for a growing state in the face of what Mother
Nature on average can supply us - or less.

We support the project being proposed by Western Resource Advocates to the Colorado Water
Conservation Board utilizing HB 05-1254 Grant Funds. We can be of assistance with both in-
kind uses of our facilities and staff, and cash support

ucation and Communications

SUITE #200 · 201 CENTENNIAL STREET
P.O, BOX 1120/GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO 81602
(970) 945-8522 · FAX (970) 945-8799 · www,crwcd,org
