5.0 PROJECTS RECOMMENDED FOR DEAUTHORIZATION

.

From time to time, some projects may be deauthorized to make room for new projects that
may have a better chance of coming to fruition. If an appropriation has not been encumbered
within five years after approval, the Board staff will work with the project sponsor to deauthorize
the project. After a project has been completed, the remaining unspent but still encumbered
funds will be deauthorized as soon as possible. Seven projects totalling $1,460,755 are
recommended to be deauthorized in FY 93-94 as listed in Table 2 below.

TABLE 2

Colorado Water Conservation Board
Projects Recommended for Deauthorization in FY 93-94

Amount Amount
Project Name Authorization Authorized Deauthorized
Jackson Reservoir SB 81-439 $125,000 $43,638
Ridges Metro District SB 81-439 $2,866,000 $922,109
Town of Oak Creek EO of 7/23/84 $144,000 $144,000
Clark Lake HB 85-1042 $500,000 $72,058
Lemon Dam SB 87-15 $162,900 $162,900
Moonlight Lateral SB 88-30 $100,000 $100,000
Wisconsin Ditch Company SB 88-30 $16,050 $16,050
I I Totals I $3,913,950 I $1,460,755 I

.

The Jackson Reservoir project has been completed and only $81,362 of the original $125,000
state appropriation was needed.
