<br />I <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Agenda Item 29c <br />October 19, 1994 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The feasibility study developed and evaluated a number of alternative spillway configurations <br />with associated cost estimates. The selected alternative will consist of a stepped, roller- <br />compacted concrete (RCC) spillway with an RCC stilling basin. The design was selected to <br />minimize cost and the impact of the modifications to the existing dam embankment and to the <br />general area, <br /> <br />Plans and specifications for the project will require approval by the State Engineer's Office. <br />Due to a small wetlands area near the proposed stilling basin, a 404 Permit from the Corps of <br />Engineers will be required. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The staff recommends: <br /> <br />1. That a construction fund loan in the amount of $370,000, not to exceed 75% of actual <br />project costs, be approved for the Left Hand Ditch Company for the construction of a <br />new spillway on the Left Hand Valley Reserv~ir, and <br /> <br />2. That the financing terms ,shall be 5.5% annual percentage rate, for a repayment period <br />of 30 years, and <br /> <br />3. That loan approval shall be contingent upon a fmal staff evaluation of the Company's <br />financial condition and ability to pay, and upon all standard contracting provisions of <br />the CWCB, and <br /> <br />4.
