<br />The public is also invited to submit written comments as part of the
<br />scoping process. Written comments will be accepted from March 12 through
<br />April 16, 1990. All comments should be sent to the Glen Canyon Dam
<br />Environmental Impact statement, Bureau of Reclamation, 125 South state street,
<br />P.O. Box 11568, Salt Lake City, Utah 84147. Information presented at the
<br />public meetings to assist in the scoping process will also be available from
<br />that same address during that time period.
<br />
<br />Notice of Intent to prepare an environmental impact statement was
<br />published in the Federal Register on October 27, 1989. Further, in a notice
<br />announcing the meetings published in the Federal Register February 23, 1990
<br />(55FR6488), the filing date of the "final" EIS was corrected to read "December
<br />31, 1991;" and the need for the information developed in the EIS was changed
<br />to read: "This information is necessary to determine specific options to the
<br />operation of Glen Canyon Dam that could be implemented to minimize, consistent
<br />with law, the impact of the operation of Glen Canyon Dam on the downstream
<br />environmental and ecological resources of the Glen Canyon National Recreation
<br />Area and the Grand Canyon National Park."
