Provide for exchange, through discussion,.of information regarding <br />water and air pollution control activities by federal, state, and local <br />agencies within the Arkansas-White-Red River Basins. <br /> <br />2. Provide for coordination of federal and state activities affecting <br />environmental quality in the AWR basins to help achieve the optimum de- <br />gree of pollution abatement and ~Iater quality enhancement. . This will be <br />limited to quality considerations and will not include measurement or <br />collection of data. <br /> <br />3. Formulate interagency procedure for monitoring and evaluating solid <br />waste disposal and vector control activities in the AWR basins. <br /> <br />4. Inventory and develop methods for evaluating natural fundamentals and <br />aesthetics - those features of the environment which affect man's well- <br />being rather than those environmental concerns which are more properly <br />subject to actions for preservation. <br /> <br />CHARGE - FY 1977 <br /> <br />Continue the development of a recurring annual summary of federal and <br />state laws affecting environmental quality in the basin states, a discussion <br />of environmental quality problem areas, a summary of environmental liti- <br />gation affecting water and related land resources, and a discussion of <br />needs and plans.
