Two scoping meetings (one during the day <br />and one during the evening) are held in Kremmling, CO: June 5, 2003. Meetings are <br />recorded. <br /> <br />]5. <br /> <br />Denver Water applies for 401 Water Quality Certification: projected July 30, 2003; DW <br />makes initial request to USFWS about Endangered Species issues pertinent to the Project. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />Comments and study requests must be made within 60 days of the last scoping meeting, or <br />by August 4. 2003. Comments and additional study requests should be sent directly to <br />Denver Water with a copy to the secretary of the FERC. Any dispute over additional study <br />requests that Denver Water and the requesting participating party cannot resolve will be <br />forwarded to the FERC staff for resolution. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />Scoping Document 2 is sent to participating parties: September 18, 2003 <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />Denver Water begins to conduct studies identified during the scoping process: <br />September 2003 <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />Results of first field season of studies are mailed to participating parties: January 2, 2004 <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />Thirty days after results are mailed; Denver Water sends a letter to participating parties <br />requesting identification of any additional studies. <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />Denver Water mails first field season study results to the FERC and participants: January <br />2004. Participating parties must comment on study results and respond to request for <br />additional studies within 60 days of receipt of the request for additional studies. <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />Denver Water performs any additional studies during second field season (June- <br />September 2004). Results are mailed to participating parties and Denver Water also <br />requests preliminary terms, conditions, and recommendations. <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />Denver Water prepares preliminary draft environmental assessment (PDEA). Denver <br />Water incorporates preliminary temlS, conditions and recommendations. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />8 months prior to the deadline date for filing its final Application for License, Denver <br />Water sends PDEA and Draft License Application to participating parties. <br /> <br />(I) The FERC issues a notice of availability of the POEA with a request for preliminary <br />terms, conditions, and recommendations. Responses must be received within 90 days. <br /> <br />(2) If necessary, Denver Water holds a meeting with participating parties to resolve any <br />final issues concerning PDEA or Draft License Application. <br /> <br />21 <br />
