Quantify depletions to the Colorado River caused by operation of the project.

2. Conduct biological studies to determine what, if any, impacts are caused by
project operations or on site facility improvements to threatened and
endangered species and species of concern within the FERC Project area.

5,2.7 Cultural Resources
Issue:

1. Evaluati ve testing data presented in the 1996 Powers Elevation Co., Inc.
studies are adequate for environmental analysis for the license or exemption.
However, there is a ponion of the FERC Project area that was not included in
the pedestrian survey conducted by Powers Elevation Co., Inc. in 1996.

Studies:

1. An intensive pedestrian survey (Class III inventory) is proposed for the
ponion of the FERC Project area not surveyed in the previous Powers
Elevation Co., Inc. study.

5.2,8 Recreation
Issue:

I. No recreational issues have been identified at this time.

Studies:
1. Denver Water proposes to collect and study recreational use data to determine
if changes to the existing recreation management plan are necessary.

5.2.9 Air Resources
Issue:

I. Are there potential emission savings from the decreased use of fossil fuel
because of the proposed increase in hydroelectric power generation capacity
of the Project?

19
