Oklahoma., and Arkansas; <br />6 reservoirs - Caddoa in Colorado. The 33 levee projects have a combined estimated Federal cost <br />of J11,000,OOO, and a cost to 100a1 interests of something over <br />)2,000,000. The requirements of local oooperation were refused by <br />local interests on 27 of these projects, principally on the Arkansas <br />River in Oklahoma and Arkansas, Kansas e.nd the Gra.nd Neosho and <br />Verdigris Rivers in Kansas. Two were oomp1eted as W. P. A. projects <br />(';rinfie1d in Kansas and Augusta in Kansas). Four have been completed <br />at Federal cost with local contributions in accordance with the re~ <br />quirement5 of the Act.
