<br />12 <br /> <br />The cultural resources program for the GCMRC is comprised of three primary <br /> <br />~:;~-'~!..~~J <br />'~;:,~f~-' <br /> <br />components: a core program of monitoring and research activities as directed by <br /> <br />stakeholders in the AMP, a tribal projec:ts component, and a cooperative programming <br /> <br />component. Further, the cultural resources program manager is responsible for coordination <br /> <br />with other program managers to incorporate Native American concerns within these <br /> <br />programs. <br /> <br />The objectives and information needs specified by the stakeholders have been utilized <br /> <br />to incorporated into the following general monitoring and research activities proposedin the <br /> <br />Strategic Plan. <br /> <br />1. Develop data and monitoring systems to assess impacts. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Develop data to assess risk of damage and loss of cultural resources from <br /> <br />" <br />.-:-:\ <br /> <br />"i <br /> <br />varying flow regimes. <br /> <br />3. Develop tribal monitoring programs for evaluation of impacts to cultural <br /> <br />resources. <br /> <br />4. Develop a predictive model of geomorphic processes that are related to <br /> <br />archaeological site erosion. <br /> <br />5. Develop mitigation strategies related to documented site impacts and <br /> <br />monitoring assessments. <br /> <br />6.
