The Task Force is comprised of a broad range of <br />federal, state, and local agencies, and as well interest groups concerned with <br />nonpoint source water pollution. This amalgamation of interests brings to the <br />Task Force the primary agencies involved in sponsoring and funding nonpoint <br />source projects. The following mission statement and membership roster was <br />adopted by the Task Force during the process of producing this management <br />program: <br /> <br />Mission Statement NonDoint Source Task Force <br /> <br />The mission of the Nonpoint Source Task Force is to serve as the advisory <br />council to the Water Quality Control Division for the nonpoint pollution <br />program. To accomplish this mission, the Task Force is comprised of agencies <br />and groups involved in efforts to control these sources and also interests <br />which may be affected by ,these efforts. <br /> <br />The TaskForce will serve in the following roles: <br /> <br />1) To review and make recommendations for proposed changes to the Colorado <br />Nonpoint Assessment Report. <br /> <br />2) To determine appropriate management programs for control of nonpoint <br />sources and to update and modify these programs as necessary. <br /> <br />3) To develop a best management practices (SMP's) handbook for nonpoint <br />sources and update the ,pandboolt as necessary. .,~ <br /> <br />4) To prioritize and recommend demonstration projects and necessary <br />programs for nonpoint source control funding. <br /> <br />The Task,Force will serve to review and coordinate the efforts of the various <br />subcommittees of the Task Force. The subcommittees shall have open ,membership <br />to insure public input into specific nonpoint source control program. The <br />Task Force will have a more limited membership, and be comprised of agencies <br />and interest groups involved in nonpoint source pollution issues, and will <br />make final recommendations to the Water Quality Control Division on nonpoint <br />source issues. The following is a roster of members of the Task Force, as of <br />January 1990. <br /> <br />1) Water Quality Control Division <br /> <br />2) Mined Land Reclamation Division <br /> <br />3) Colorado Soil Conservation Board <br /> <br />4) Colorado Division of wildlife <br /> <br />5) u.s.
