the North American Air Defense Combat Operations Center on Cheyenne
Mountain near Colorado Springs; Army construction projects amounting to
about $2,600,000, and $440,000 of work for the Reserve Corps. Additional
Air Force contracts for about $2,400,000 are expected to be awarded
prior to January 1, 1960.

In calendar year 1960, it is estimated that new military construction
contract awards may range up to $3,000,000 for additional ICBM work;
other Air Force work amounting to about $780,000 and Army construction
totaling about $1,600,000. In addition, construction plans for exca-
vation for the NORAD combat operations center are essentially ready for
advertising; however, the project has not been released for construction
as yet.
