S. Department of <br />Census, three of the seven counties <br />that lay within the NCWCD rank In <br />the top 70 nationwide in agricultural <br />production. The information is <br /> <br />contained in the 1987 Census of <br />Agriculture which provides data on <br />all facets of agricultural <br />production throughout the United <br />States. <br /> <br />Weld County. which has been in the <br />top live for years, is ranked fourth <br />With $864 million in agricultural <br />products sold. Two other <br />northeastern Colorado counties rank <br /> <br />in the top 70 with Morgan County <br />ranking 37th and Logan County <br />66th. These numbers indicate the <br />value thaI Irrigation plays in the <br />economy of this region. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The top three counties, and eight of <br />the top ten, are all located in <br />California.
