The number of quadrangles in each stage of the activity is itemized for the entire area and broken down for each state. Authorized - 154 Controlled - 92 Compiled - 124 Published 42 Authorized - 4 Controlled - 56 Compiled 26 Published 5 Authorized - 38 Controlled - 16 Compiled 30 Published 20 Authorized - Controlled - Compiled Published Authorized - 20 Controlled - 20 Compiled 11 Published 5 Total for PSFC Region The specific quadrangles are indicated on the "Index of Advance Materials" issued quarterly for each state by the Area offices and are available on request. ARIZONA Flagstaff 4 was authorized for completion and cartographic work. Ajo project was controlled, while compilation was accomplished in the Grand Canyon, Salome and Morenci areas. Published maps covered areas near Williams, Mt. Tipton and Safford. CALIFORNIA Two projects near Fresno and Tehachapi were authorized. Cuyama project was controlled while compilation was done in the N.W. corner of state as well as in the Merced and Eagle Mtn. areas. Published maps covered areas near Campo, Ukiah, Taft, Palo Alto and Ortigilita. COLORADO'~ 54 o 22 2 Projects near Lake City, Pitkin were authorized. areas near Grand Valley, Published maps were near Placita, Meeker and Compiled maps included Grand Junction and Campo. the Colorado-Utah border. IDAHO'~ No activity in that part of Idaho which falls in the Committee's area NEVADA Area around Pyramid Lake was authorized. Silver Peak project was controlled. Quadrangles near Elko and Mercury were compiled. Published quadrangles were in the Potts and Mercury areas. -5- .
