.

.

.

.

B. Changes in the rate of istallation of salinity reduction features
over the planned rate.

Each of the g sub-units in the Uintah Basin project area were
evaluated to determine any significant deviation from the selected
plan. All units with the exception of the Whiterocks-East Uintah
unit are consistently being installed as predicted by the selected
plan. Whiterocks-East Uintah unit is being implemented at a level
higher than the selected plan which will result in an increased
salt load reduction of 5,700 tons of salt per year. This increase
in salt load reduction is a result of treating approximately 5900
acres of irrigated cropland in excess of the acres identified in
the selected plan. The Uintah Basin plan is amended to reflect
this change.

C. Salvage Water/Undiverted Water

The Uintah Basin Plan as originally prepared included an
off-site salinity dilution benefit value to salvaged water of 2.35
mg/l at Imperial Dam. To bring the Uintah Basin plan into
compliance with presently accepted policy, salvaged water is given
a value based on the monitary value of similar water used for
agricultural purposes in the Uintah Basin. Dilution benefits are
eliminated.

D. Update of Project Costs and Benefit Values.

The Uintah Basin Plan is amended to display cost and benefit values
using January 1986 dollars and 8 5/8% discount rate in computing
those values.

IV.
