<br />31 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />Interior and the Bureau of Reclamation, it is that the carryin <br />out of this Treaty is primarily a State Department function; <br />that the Department of the Interior is ready and willing to <br />comply with the .All-Ame!'ican Canal contract, which carries wit <br />it the turning over of Imperial Dam and the All-American Canal <br />to the District, except to the extent that they are advised by <br />the Department of State that the carrying out of that contract <br />is incompatible with the Treaty, that is, that it would be in <br />violation of the Treaty. <br />CHAIRMAN STONE: Off the record.
