Then a pt'edpitation station records were studied. <br />In this study, twe stations vere selected rather than ODe becllllse it was felt tbat <br />two Btations II1ght give a better picture of the basin above AqUilar than just a single <br />station. The precipitation stations at WaJsanbJrg aDi Tr1:o1.dad were select.ed, and <br />trOll s1Jmltaneous records of these two stations, the 1II0aths of Hq aDd JllII9 vere <br />studied. Then tor these tlIo IIOnths the disc:hll.rge at Aquilar was recorded separately <br />and also in total. Again it was 68S1l111ed that in these t1iO 1I0Mbs, when heavy rain- <br />tall occurred, the stock ponds above Aquilar vere filled. Thus, this lIlIlOllIIt., 1Ibidl <br />is equivalent to their capadty, is theoretically less than the discharge at Aqnilar. <br />This lIDIount vas then compared v.l.th the flows at Aquilar. 'nle ClIIlparisCll 11'88 l1I8de on <br />a percentage basis. Theoreticall;r, the flow at Aquilar wouJd have increased by a <br />like alIlOunt had there been no stock ponds above it and no chamel losses. <br />An attempt to compute the 8IlIOI1Dt or irrigation diversion below the station <br />was made by 1IIl81ysing the records in the State EDg1neer's Offics, but l!inae there <br />are no adequate records available, the irrigat4.on diversion oould not be cCIJ1Ipul:.ed. <br />Hence, this compariSC!ll1 vas left in this I. D. and vas done in I. D. 19. The above <br />study vas made for a period ot from 10 to 15 :years. <br /> <br />- 3 - <br />
