That any return flows in the ;'outh Platte Basin resulting from the <br />importation of trans-mountain water be distributed by the water officials of the <br />State of Colorado in accordance with existing Court Decrees distributing water <br />flowing in the South Platte River. <br /> <br />Lastly and specifically, we like the suggestion made by Royce Tipton at the <br />public hearing held in Greeley, Colorado, on :Oeptember 15, 1951. Mr. Tipton <br />suggested that the Narrows Dam, when constructed, could be operated in much the <br />same fashion as the Caddoa Dam is being operated. fie especially request the <br />Colorado "ater Conservation Board to withhold approval of construction of the <br />Narrows Dam until an agreement is reached with the appropriate agency or bureau <br />of the United States of America guaranteeing that the Reservoir when built will <br />be operated without priority of appropriation, without decree as a storage reser- <br />voir and in such a manner that its construction and oreration will never inter- <br />fere with the construction, operation and filling rights of reservoirs already <br />constructLd or to be constructed upstream from the jlarrolls ,Dam site on the South <br />Platte River and its tributaries. <br /> <br />Respedtfully submitted on behalf of. all of the water users in the Henrylyn <br />Irrig~tion District. ; <br />!.- <br /> <br />THE Hr;WtYLYN IRHlGATION DISTIUCT <br /> <br />BY Bruce B.
