O~1951

(a) Full Water Supply - Aqricultural Use - A full water supply

is that quantity and qual ity of irrigation water at the

farm headgate necessary to meet crop consumptive uses and

soil leaching requirements plus reasonable farm losses.

Such supply will vary from year to year and throughout each

year as influenced by climatic conditions, type of crop,

soil and topography. The supply, when converted to headgate

diversion requirements, must include reasonable canal or

lateral transportation losses (and storage losses where

applicable) between the point of diversion and the farm

headgate.

(b) Full Water Supply - Municipal - A full water supply for a

municipal distribution system is that quantity and quality

of water necessary to supply all requirements of customers

of the system. The supply will vary from year to year and

throughout each year as influenced by population, cl imate

and other factors. Temporary storage of treated and/or

raw water is desirable and necessary to protect the public

health and welfare. Such a supply, when converted to head-

gate requirements, must include reasonable allowances

for wash water, transmission and storage losses. Municipal

water is that water required for household use; irrigation

of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs; public and government

use; industrial and manufacturing; fire protection;

sanitation and any other beneficial use associated with a

municipality. MuniCipalities may provide for future growth

by the planned development of unappropriated waters and/or

acquisition of existing water rights.

(c) Full Water Supply - Industrial - That quantity and quality

of water necessary to meet the requirements of industrial

and manufacturing processes. The quality and quantity are

variable, according to the type of industry. water avail-,

ability and economics of development. Use for a particular

industry should be commensurate with established standards.

(d) ~ - The causing. suffering,or permitting of non-beneficial

6
