<br />. 0.4 52.215-8 AMENDMENTS TO SOLICITATIONS (NOV 1988) <br /> <br />(a) If this solicitation is amended, then all terms and <br />conditions which are not modified remain unchanged. <br /> <br />(b) Offerors shall acknowledge receipt of any amendment to this <br />solicitation (1) by signing and returning the amendment; (2) by <br />identifying the amendment number and date in the space provided for <br />this purpose on the form for submitting an offer; or (3) by letter or <br />telegram. The Government must receive the acknowledgement by the time <br />specified for receipt of offers. <br /> <br />0.5 52.215-9 SUBMISSION OF OFFERS (APR 1984) <br /> <br />(a) Offers and modifications thereof shall be submitted in sealed <br />envelopes or packages (I) addressed to the office specified in the <br />solicitation and (2) showing the time specified for receipt, the <br />solicitation number, and the name and address of the offeror. <br /> <br />(b) Telegraphic offers will not be considered unless authorized <br />by the solicitation; however, offers may be modified by written or <br />telegraphic notice, if that notice is received by the time specified <br />for receipt of offers. <br /> <br />(c) Item samples, if required, must be submitted within the time <br />specified for receipt of offers. Unless otherwise specified in the <br />solicitation, these samples shall be (1) submitted at no expense to the <br />Government and (2) returned at the sender's request and expense, unless <br />they are destroyed during preaward testing. <br /> <br />0.6 52.215-10 LATE SU8MISSIONS, MODIFICATIONS, AND WITHDRAWALS OF <br />PROPOSALS (APR 1984) <br /> <br />(a) Any proposal received at the office designated in the <br />solicitation after the exact time specified for receipt will not be <br />considered unless it is received before award is made and it-- <br /> <br />(1) Was sent by registered or certified mail not later than <br />the fifth calendar day before the date specified for receipt of offers <br />(e.g., an offer submitted in response a solicitation requiring receipt <br />of offers by the 20th of the month must have been mailed by the 15th); <br /> <br />(2) Was sent by mail (or telegram if authorized) and it is <br />determined by the Government that the late receipt was due solely to <br />mishandling by the Government after receipt at the Government <br />installation; or <br /> <br />(3) Is the only proposal received. <br /> <br />(b) Any modification of a proposal or quotation, except a <br />modification resulting from the Contracting Officer's request for "best <br />and final" offer, is subject to the same conditions as in subparagraphs <br />(a) (I) and (2) above. <br /> <br />0-2 <br />
