<br />The Environmental and Energy study Institute (EESI) was
<br />established in 1984 in cooperation with the leaders of the
<br />Congressional Environmental and Energy Study Conference, the
<br />. largest legislative service organization in Congress with more than
<br />90 Senators and 290 Representatives as melnbers, EESI is the
<br />nation's only private, independent organization established by
<br />Congressional leaders to produce better informed debate on
<br />environmental and energy issues and dedicated to generating
<br />innovative policies for sustainable development.
