<br />o <br />m <br />1', <br /> <br />Attachment A <br /> <br />C)'t <br /> <br />CHARTER <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Advisory Council <br /> <br />1. The Council shall be known as the Colorado River Basin <br />Salinity Control Advisory Council, <br /> <br />2. The Council will advise the Secretaries of the Departments <br />of the Interior and Agriculture and the Administrator of the <br />Environmental Pl'otection Agency on all matters relating to <br />efficient and timely planning and execution of salinity <br />control measures and procedures speCified in Public Law 93- <br />320, Title II. <br /> <br />3. The Council shall remain acti ve through the planning and <br />construction of Title II features which are projected to <br />1990. <br /> <br />4. The Council shall report to the Secretaries of the Depart- <br />ments of the Interior and Agriculture and the Administrator <br />of the Environmental Protection Agency thr'ough the Commis- <br />sioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, <br /> <br />5. The Bureau of Reclamation shall coordinate the support <br />activities for the Council, <br /> <br />6. The Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation or his <br />representataive shall act as the designated Federal employee <br />for the Council. <br /> <br />7. The Council shall serve in an advisory capacity only and <br />Shall: <br /> <br />a. Receive reports from the Secretar'y of the Interior <br />on the progress of the salinity control program and review <br />and comment on said reports. <br /> <br />b. PrOVide advice through review and comment on <br />progress, plans, research, and related sal i n i ty control <br />activities conducted under Title II of Public Law 93-320. <br /> <br />c. Serve a liaison function between the basin states <br />and the Departments of the Interior and Agriculture and the <br />Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> <br />d. Recommend to the Secretary of the Interior and the <br />Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency the <br />study of new projects, techniques, and methods that may <br />facilitate salinity control in the basin. <br /> <br />8.
