<br /> <br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />February 2000 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of February was computed to be 144 <br />acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 454 AF net San Juan-Chama (SJ-C) losses, as <br />shown in Table 2. There were no diversions through Azotea Tunnel this month_ <br /> <br />There was a total of 144 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron_ There was 2871 AF of SJ-C <br />released in February of which 908 AF was the City of Santa Fe's delivery to Abiquiu, and 1963 <br />AF was the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District's (MRGCD) delivery to Santa Fe in Abiquiu as <br />payback for 1996 irrigation season_ <br /> <br />There were no SJ-C releases from El Va do in the month of February_ <br /> <br />There was 1613 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which the total AF was sent to Jemez. <br /> <br />There was 0_50 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 37% of the February (running <br />average of 1.35 inches). The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are summarized in Tables <br />1-3. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 393 AF_ There were 28 AF of losses <br />on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez Canyon <br />Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and evaporation of Rio <br />Grande water in El Va do and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and analyzed. <br />
