<br />SAN JUAN-CHAMA <br />WATER ACCOUNTING <br />ALBUQUERQUE PROJECTS OFFICE <br />MARCH 1994 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of March was computed to <br />be 14,160 acre-feet (af) as shown on Table 3. Net San Juan-Chama losses were <br />390 af as shown on Table 2. There was no San Juan-Chama water diverted through <br />Azotea Tunnel during March. <br /> <br />There were 12,429 af of San Juan~Chama water released from Heron during the month <br />of March. 3,490 af was released from the City of Albuquerque's pool, 2,346 af <br />were released from the Santa Fe Metropolotan Water Board's (SFMWB) pool, of which <br />2,000 af were stored in the MRGCD's pool in El Vado. The remaining 346 af were <br />stored in the Public Service Company of New Mexico's pool in El Vado: the <br />remaining 6,593 af were released from the MRGCD's pool and stored in their pool <br />in El Vado Reservoir. <br /> <br />A summary sheet is provided for water delivered from Heron, El Vado, and Abiquiu <br />Reservoirs. <br /> <br />Total precipitation reported at <br />inches which is 121% of normal. <br />summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir for the month of March was 1.83 <br />The monthly computations for Heron Reservoir are <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 364 af. Evaporation <br />loss on the reservoir was 3 af. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Cochiti, Abiquiu, <br />and Jemez Canyon Reservoirs are presented in Tables 5A-5C. <br /> <br />Storage and evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu reservoirs are <br />shown on Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
