3. Item/Title: East River-Taylor River-Slate River Ditch Inventory. Gunnison
Soil Conservation Service. (unpublished)

Abstract: The inventory provides information to the Gunnison Soil
Conservation Service, the Colorado Division of Water Resources (Water
District #59), and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service
regarding the status of irrigation systems in Sldte, Taylor and East River
Areas. The need for an inventory was precipitated by irrigation water
shortages during 1977.

The report summarizes all ditches on all three rivers, its legal location,
decree, acres claimed, users on the ditch, and remarks concerning the
condition. A map providing land ownership in the three river area is
presented.

Other aspects of the study:
The stUdy notes that as this inventory is an ongoing process, not all the
information is complete.

Abstract: Allen in this work suggests that, in general, the level of predation
of Baetis bicaudatus increases with an increase in their drifting during the
