Classifications identify the actual beneficial uses of the water. Numeric standards are assigned to determine the allowable concentrations of various parameters. 11 . Prepared by: Economic Research Service, Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture and the Colorado Water Conservation Board. Date: October 1962 Abstract: The study describes the water and related land resources of the Gunnison River Basin and includes a subbasin report on the Upper Gunnison Basin. For the purposes of the study, the Upper Gunnison Basin is described as including all of the Gunnison watershed above the confluence of the Cimarron River with the Gunnison River. Included in the subbasin report are descriptions of soils, land use, water supply and water use, irrigated acreage, and the agricultural economy.
