<br />By June 30, 1975, the prime contractor for <br />Crystal Dam (Curecanti Unit) had completed <br />excavation of the keyway and the <br />power plant. The highest concrete block <br />was 205 feet above the foundation <br />excavation, with the remaining blocks <br />slightly lower. Concrete placement in the <br />dam was 56 percent complete with about <br />80,000 cubic yards in place. The <br />powerplant concrete foundation was <br />completed, with three-fourths of the <br />structural concrete finished. The dam will <br />be 340 feet high when completed. <br /> <br />Work was initiated on Stage 02 of the <br />Hayden Substation and was approximately <br />55 percent complete at fiscal year's end. <br />The bid opening for the initial 4.5 miles of <br />the Hayden-Ault 345 kV transmission line <br />was held on June 26, 1975. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Construction Activities <br /> <br />On the Glen Canyon Unit, the seal coating <br />of the streets in Page was completed and a <br />contract to modify the Page Hospital <br />awarded. Work on the hospital modifications <br />was 65 percent complete by June 30, 1975. <br /> <br />The Part II Drains on the Hammond Project <br />were completed and a contract for trash- <br />racks for the Hammond pumping plant and <br />a line meter for the supplemental plant <br />was awarded. <br /> <br />On the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project, <br />work continued on the main canal and <br />Tunnel NO.4. Lateral and drains for Block 1 <br />irrigation were completed. Bids were <br />opened for the turbines for the Navajo Dam <br />powerplant. <br /> <br />The contractor for Currant Creek Dam, <br />Bonneville Unit, Central Utah Project, <br />completed the access road to the dam. <br />Excavation of the right abutment cutoff <br />trench and concrete placement for the <br />outlet works were started The temporary <br />recreation access road to Soldier Creek <br />Reservoir was completed. Exploratory <br />drilling, Hades and Rhodes Tunnels, Vat <br />and Rhodes Diversion Dams, and Win <br />Stream Inlet was underway. <br /> <br />Upstream reservoir stabilization, Emery <br />County Project, was 75 percent complete. <br />Emery County Project Block NO.2 drains <br />were completed. <br /> <br />
