However, Miner;!ll County will <br />receive large increases in its general fund prpperty tax as a <br />result of the proposed development which can be used to help <br />fund the desired level of service. I <br />I <br /> <br />The other law enforcement impact reSUl~ing from the <br />developnent alternatives will be the need for ladditional jail <br />facilities. The existing facilities ~re currently <br />inadequate. The growth of Mineral County I population and <br />tourism due to the construction of Wolf C~eek Valley may <br />provide additional pressure to build a law eo+orcernent center <br />with expanded hOlding facilities. I <br />I <br />Archuleta County will also experience increasl=<'! demand on its <br />Sheriff's department as a result of the grOl</th of permanent <br />population and tourism within the county.
