There were no storms of great intensity in the <br />de,;el't area traversed b)' the aqueduct. In November, and again <br />in March and April, high winds moved considerable quantities of <br />sand into open canal sections. This condition wa,; aggravated by <br />Arm)' maneuvers in the vicinity of the aqueduct.
