SUMMARY (Continued)

rights to a portion of the existing water supply in Utah Lake, by using
project return flows, and by using presently unused high flows entering
the lake. The irrigation water will be provided to supplemental- and
full-service lands. in south Utah County, the Mona-Nephi area in Juab
County, and the Sevier River area. The water for municipal and indus-
trial uses will consist of a small amount of water for communities and
some unincorporated areas in south Utah County and for Nephi in Juab
County.

Bonneville Unit water for the I&D System will be received from the
Diamond Fork Pipeline in both the Wasatch Aqueduct and the Spanish Fork
River and at Utah Lake. At York Ridge, the water conveyed by the aque-
duct will enter the Mona-Nephi Canal, which will extend to Nephi. A
portion of the water will be diverted from the canal to Mona Reservoir by
the Mona Pipeline. At Nephi, some of the water in the Mona-Nephi Canal
will be diverted for irrigation of lands in the Mona-Nephi area or for
municipal use. The remaining water in the canal will be pumped to the
Nephi-Sevier Canal and conveyed south to Sevier Bridge Reservoir. Ex-
isting distribution facilities will convey the project irrigation water
to areas of use in south Utah County, Juab County, and the Sevier River
area. Portions of unused flows of Summit Creek in Santaquin Canyon will
be used for full-service irrigation in the Santaquin area. Lands above
Sevier Bridge Reservoir will be served by exchanging water to existing
storage facilities upstream on the Sevier River.

A portion of the Bonneville Unit water released to the Spanish Fork
River will be diverted for irrigation and municipal use in the Spanish
Fork area. The remainder will flow into Utah Lake. Water will be pumped
from the west side of the lake through 1&D System facilities for irriga-
tion of lands in the Mosida area.

S-4

:,1
