<br />Abiauiu Reservoir.-Water-stage recorder, lat 36'14'24", long 106"25'44", on Rio Chama. Completed In February 1963; capacity,
<br />1.201,200 acre-It at elevation 6,350 feet (crest of spillway) by 1984 survey. Reservoir is operated by Corps of Engineers for flood
<br />control and sediment storage. A resolution granting permission to store transmountain waters was approved by Rio Grande
<br />Compact Commission on May 3, 1974. Storage includes ooth Rio Craride and transmountain water.
