The re-
port was submitted to the Chief of Engineers on June 16, 1972.
On March 8, 1973, the proposed report to the Chief of Engineers
was released for interagency review at the departmental level.
The Secretary of the Interior, in commenting on the proposed
report, indicated that measures proposed for mitigation of dam-
ages to fish and wildlife relative to the McKinney Bayou project
are inadequate, and more extensive measures are proposed. A re-
vised mitigation plan has been developed jointly by the U. S.
Fish and Wildlife Service and the New Orleans District. A re-
port on the revised plan was forwarded to higher authority in
August 1975.

----.
.
I
I
I
I
I)
I
I
I
I
I
I
I'
I
3) I;
I
1
1
I

The "early action" plan underway in the Tulsa District in-
cludes Durant, Albany, Parker, Sherwood - Broken Bow Modification,
Tuskahoma, and McGee Creek lakes in Texas. (See Map 1) A sur-
vey scope study to determine whether the authorized Boswell Lake
(located 3 miles west of Soper, Choctaw County, Oklahoma) should
be modified to include water conservation. The study includes
consideration of alternative lake for flood control, water sup-
ply, and allied purposes. Since authority is available to modify
Boswell lake, the abbreviated report shows that no additional ac-
tion is required by Congress.
