In .order ta <br /> <br />implement this cencept, and thereby further extend the <br /> <br />Farum's basic salinity pOlioies, the Ce10rado River Basin <br /> <br />states support the Water and Power Resources Service <br /> <br />4Ifpraisa1 study of saline water ce11ectian, pretreatment <br />and potential industrial use. <br /> <br />The Ce10rado River Basin contains large energy <br /> <br />resources, which are in the early stages of develapment. <br /> <br />The WPRS study shau1d investigate the technical and <br /> <br />financial feasibility .of serving as significant portion .of <br /> <br />the water requirements of the energy industry and any other <br /> <br />industries by the use of Basin brackish and/or saline <br /> <br />waters, The Farum recommends that: <br /> <br />1) The Co1erada River Basin states, working with <br /> <br />federal agencies, identify, 1acate and quantify such <br /> <br />brackish and/er saline water sources. <br /> <br />2) Infarmatian an the availability of these waters be <br />.ade available to all potential users. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
