Principal Investigator(s): John Hamill, P.O. Box 25486, DFC, Denver,
CO 80225, (303) 236-2985

IV. Study Schedule: Ongoing

V. Relationship to RIPRAP: VII.A.I. How is this study contributing to recovery? Are the study goals and
objectives being met?: Service Program management contributes to
recovery via overall coordination, planning, and execution of the
Recovery Program, The Program Director and Assistant Program Director
provide staff assistance to the Service and the Implementation,
Management, and Biology committees. In addition, the Service is
actively involved on the Biology Committee and in providing general
oversight and management of Service field programs involving the
Colorado River fishes. Goals and objectives are generally being met.
However, it appears that existing staff support (from the Program
Director's office and other participants) is inadequate to meet the
growing demands of the Program as it moves further from a primarily
research phase into an implementation phase. Management Committee
efforts to evaluate and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the
Recovery Program are aimed at solving this problem.

VIII.
