AWRBIAC' PROCEDURE GUIDE

The Southwest Field Committee of the Interior"De,:artmerl't'
operates in the capacity of an intra-Departmental coordinating unit.
The Chairman of the SoutLwest Field Committee is the Depart.mant .of
the. Intertor member on the AWRBIAC. The' AWR coordine. tion . for the
Interior Department is. handled through the Interior member on the
A~L~C, the Interior AWR office in Tulsa, and: the Southwest Field
CowmIttee members or their special assistants set up partIcularly
for the AWR program.

There follows a brIef statement of the coordination procedures
of each of the Interior bureaus:

FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE

The AWR.office of the Fish and.Wildlife Service, Box 1306,
Albuquerque.. New Mexico, is responsible for the over"all program-
ming and coordination between the three Fish and Wildlife Service.
Regions (Regions 4, 3 and. 2) and among those. three regions and other
Federal agencies and the eight State Gar:le and Fish Departments
(COlorado, New Mexico, Kansas) Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas
a.,d Louisiana). It works with'field offices designated by' each State
and Federal agency. . .

The AWR office will operate through the Offics of Rive:fBasin
Studies Field Headquarters at Vicksburg, Mississippi, 'Oklahoma City,
o klal1 oma , Fort Worth, Texas, and Denver, Colorado. The Vicksburg
Field Hee.dqUllI'ters will be responsible for coordination with'the
Missouri Stat~ Conservation COmmission,. the Arkansas State' Game and
Fish Commission and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
The Oklahoma City Field Headquarters. will be responsible' for coordina-
tion with the Kansas Forestry, Fish and Game' Commission and the
Oklahoma Game and Fish Co1Jllll1ssion. The Fort WorthFleld Headquarters
will be responsible for coordinationwith'the'Texas G8me, Fish and
Oyster Commission. The Denver Field Headquarters will be responsible
for coordination with the. Colorado Game and Fish Commission.' Coordina-
tion with the New Mexioo Department of Game and Fish will'be.through
the AWR Office in Albuquerque, as will coordination with other State
a.,d Federal agencies.
