An average of 165 gallons per capi ta per day wi 11 be needed for
res ident i a 1 purposes.

2. In commercial uses, it is estimated that 20 gallons per day will be
used per person. In determining water usage ~ased upon total square
footage, it was assumed that each person occupies approximately 300
square feet.

3. It was estimated that of the 11,085 acres of pUblic/quasi-public
lands, that one-third will be irrigated which will utilize
approximately 3 acre feet per acre of irrigation water required.

4. It is estimated that water usage in the E-470 high density

residential area will utilize water at a rate of 130 gallons per

capi ta per day.

E. Study Areas

For the purpose of determining future water requi rements, the areas

studied did not include lands currently annexed to municipalities or

those which the County expects to be annexed by municipal ities over the

planning horizon of 30 years.

The study areas covered four planning Districts; de5i~nated as the West,
Central, East (North) and East (South); covering a total of approximately
55,800 acres. A map showing the different planning Districts is
presented in Figure / II-I.

-18-
