The major <br />features of the project are shown in Figure / 1-2. A general description <br />of the different features of the project is as follows: <br /> <br />1. Proposed Union Park Dam and Reservoir <br />The proposed Union Park Dam and Reservoir are shown on Figure / 1-2. <br />Lottis Creek, a tributary of Taylor River, flows into Union Park <br />from the south and meanders westward to the dam site. The proposed <br />alternate dam sites are located at or near the mouth of Union Canyon. <br /> <br />The Canyon cross sections should permit the consideration of <br />di fferent types of dams. The permi tted dam types coul d i ncl ude <br />earth-core rockfill, roller compacted concrete, concrete' gravity and <br />asphalt or concrete faced rockfill. <br /> <br />The dam axis will be located at one of two alternate sites as <br />follows: <br /> <br />(a) The south abutment is located at a point which bears South <br />15020119" vJest a distance of 22,332.95 feet from the Northwest <br />corner of Section 21, Township 14 South, Range 82 West of the 6th <br />P.M., Gunni son County, Colorado. The dam axi s intersects Lott is <br />Creek at a point which bears South 15020119" West a distance of <br />21,700 feet from the Northwest corner of said Section 21, or <br /> <br />-3- <br />
