LAKE: The letter is addressed to the Frui tland

9 Mesa Project and is from Craig A. Goodwin.

10

"I first remember Big Soap Park the summer I was six

11 years old, in 1B98. I spent a lot of time in that area that

12 summer, but I did not, see any elk.

13

I haVe probably missed being in that area only five

14 or six summers since I was six. I was in that area many,

15 many fall months and early winter. Very few elk did I ever

16 see in the park, and none in the inundated park.

17

The elk do ,not use the area ,for collecting or bunchin

18 before migration. The, elk on curecanti have a habit of going

19 south to Soap !>1esa, and the elk on upper ranches of Soap

20 Creek move t.o the east and south onto Coal Creek I-issa.

21

I see no big game problems if some game crossings are
22 provided where necessary on the canals.
