Hinderlider,
State Engineer,
Denver, Colorado.

Dsar Mr. Hinderlider:

I am enclosing herswith our computations with respect to the administration
of the Caddoa Dam Stipulation for the month of May. These consist of:

State Line Deliveries
Divsrsions of Colorado Ditches below Caddoa
Diversions above Caddoe Rese~oir in excess of the "status quo" v
of Priorities, and
Flow into Reservoir.

We have tabulated the flow into Caddoa Reservoir for the purpose of-determining
when or what diversions above were made in excess of the "status quo" of .priorities.
These figures should, of course, be considered as preliminary and subject to possible
revision. I would appreciate it if you would compare these with your computations,
and if there are differences, give us the rsason for such differences as well as your
computations of the amounts.

t,

On the basis of thess ca.lm1.lations, Statellne deliveries for May amounted to
1.2,762 acre feet, and diversions of Colorado Ditches below Caddoa amounted to 23,675 .
acre feet. Tbe diversions above Caddoa in excess of the regular order of priority
alIlQUIlted to 28,744 acre feet. During the sallle period, 9,071 acre feet of water
passed into the Reservoir. Whether I am correct or not, I have assumed that this
amount in part satisfied diversions below so that the amount of water exchanged be-
t~een the upper and lower ditches would be the difference or 19,673 acre feet, which
would be the amount exchanged "out of surplus" or "out of anticipated surplus" under
the provisions of Section 5 of the Stipulation.

on June l, I wired you requesting the delivery at the State Line of 210 c.f.s.
for the period June 1 to ~o. It is here~ requested that the delivery of 210 c.f.s.,
to be charged to Kansas summer quota of 52,000 acre feet, be continued also for the
period June II to June 30. For the month, this will amount to 1.2,495 acre feet or
almost exactly the 1.2.500 acre feet we are expecting on tbatscaount for June.

Inasmuch es Colorado has diverted by exchange out of an asswned surplus an:B.IllO\mt
apparently in excess of 20,000 acre feet since the Stipul~tion became effective, I
feel tbat Kansas shouJ..d call for some portion of its accrued credits in the surplus
_tel' account to be delivered during the crurrent month. Consequently, I WlI hereb;r
requesting the delivery of 300 c.f.s. on that account for the period June II to 3D,
tll'inging the total requested amount up to 510 c.f.s. for June II to 30, inclusive.
~:~ -1(.6 ~'";'':;.d;,d.,drV'-''n-:",L.:,.u . - --- --- .
.. - - .
