1979. The contract is scheduled to be a~arded in November, 1979.

C. EXISTING ENVIRONMENT AND E~~ANGERED SPECIES EVALUATION

1. General Environment

The Dallas Creek Project Final Environmental Statement (Bureau of Reclama-

tion, 1976) contains a description of the project environment and an evalua-

tion of impacts on resources including fish and wildlife resources. The

Uncompahgre River Basin, which contains the entire Dallas Creek Project area,

is bordered on the south and west by the Uncompahgre Plateau, on the north

by the Gunnison Rive:c, on the southeast by C:i:ma,:con Ridge, and on the south
