15.

10.

A portion of the increased river flows will be diverted under
existing priorities by acres currently dry-farmed under
existing ditch systems. Such diversions will occur with or
without the construction of Narrows Dam or Weld County Dam.

11.

Up to and including the intermediate time level Bureau of
Reclamation project water supply will be diverted to only
those acres presently irrigated. (Present acreage in Main
River Valley is 362,000 acres). ,
' ,

l2.

Additional supplies will be routed to the highest ditches
having supplemental needs in accordance with criteria No. 3
, regardless of priority. These criteria are based on the
principle that at some future date the basin water supply,
with appropriate control and husbandry, will be adequate
'for all presently irrigated lands.

13.

Two Forks Bam and Reservoir will have been built and will be
in operation for the study conditions considered for site
selection. (This facility, or a comparable facility, is
required to assure the M&I eJCchange flows used in our studies).

14.

Denver will construct facilities to furnish the Burlington
system with their historic water supply. (This criterion
assumes that the proposed new sewage treatment plant will
be physically located below the existing Burlington diversion
dam) .

The scope of hydrologic analysis for the tributary basins will
be confined to: (a) consideration of effects of potential
Cache la Poudre Project as studied by the Bureau of ReClamation,
(b) consideration of full operation of Colorado-Big Thompson
Project, (this project was in only partial operation during the
period 1952-l957), (c) allowances for additional depletions
in tributary basins (this allowance has been computed as 10
percent of ,the recorded flow at the mouth of the major
tributaries during those months when there were apparent,
storable flows of that magnitude at either Weld County or
the Narrows dam sites).

16. The amount of basin pumping varies directly as the availability
of surface supply for irrigation diversions. For instance,
as surface supplies increase, pumping will decrease.

17. The consumptive use of municipal water will be 30 percent.

9
