through the model to Elephant Butte, the end-of-the-line of any San Juan-Chama
water, Both CADSWES (the RiverWare software developer) and URGWOM made
significant strides in facilitating the movements and storages of these waters,

URGWOM is not one model, but a number of varying models for different purposes.
The Accounting Model replaces Reclamation's "daily programs" for computing past
reservoir inflows, storages, losses, etc" and reporting outflows and San Juan-
Chama accounting, The "Water Operations Model" is very similar to the
Accounting Model, but computes outflows using operational rules for short-term
future forecasting, The Planning Model does long-term forecasting using simplified
accounting information. Lastly, the Forecasting Model creates daily inflow
hydrographs from monthly runoff forecasts and historic daily hydrographs, for use
in the Water Operations Model, and possibly the Planning Model. The year 2000 is
planned for testing of these models, with repairs and enhancements performed to
begin placement into production, January 2000 marked the provision date of the
first draft full models,

"

I" "!. ..
.". :, .1::- ":

-',f-,

~ i,

x
