"Fish are an important food source for wintering
bald eagles along the Fryingpan River. Based
on the instream flow analysis at the Ruedi and
Castleview Reaches, fish populations will be
impacted due to lower winter flow and increased
late summer flows. Loss of habitat for Juvenile
trout in the winter could result in decreased
numbers of adult fish in later years." The rest
of this section would be the same.

wintering along the Roaring Fork River. Based
on instream flow analyses in the Crystal River
to Fryingpan River section of the Roaring Fork
River and the Roaring Fork River section below
the Crystal River confluence, flow alterations
from Ruedi Reservoir would not significantly
impact wildlife occurring along the Roaring Fork
River." The rest of this section would be the
same.

The foll owi n9 sentence has been inserted in
Section 4,2.1.2. "Although the productivity of
the trout fishery in the Fryingpan River has
decreased due to inundation and lower water
temperatures under current conditions (the No
Action Alternative), the section of the river
below the existing dam is sti77 considered a
'Gold Medal Fishery'."
